Healthy Moong Mix – Dieter’s Delight

It is very easy & simple to cook and healthy to eat, is low on calories, it is loaded with high proteins, actually a perfect diet food. Enjoy this dish any time as a snack or part of a light meal.

Yellow Moong Lentil (Dal) – 1 cup

Onion – 1 small (very finely chopped)

Plum Tomato – 1 Large (diced)

Cucumber – 1 Large (diced)

Fresh green coriander – ¼ cup finely chopped

Lemon juice – 2 tablepsoon

Salt per taste

Ground Black pepper

Turmeric powder – one pinch

Chaat masala (optional)

Instructions –

  • Wash and boil lentils (dal) with water, pinch of turmeric powder & salt. Cook until it’s soft enough to eat but still firm & not too soft, don’t over cook. Drain water. Keep aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, toss cooked chopped onions, moong lentils, diced tomatoes, fresh green coriander & cucumber along with salt, black pepper, red chili powder, chaat masala and lemon juice. Mix well. Its ready to eat now.

Note: Garnish with a slice of lemon and serve at room temperature. This light snack is a all time snack, It is your Forever Food.
