White Sauce Pasta with Grilled Veggies

White sauce pasta is usually a hit amongst young & old and even kids love it too. It’s for sure delicious and easy to cook.

Here is white sauce pasta with grilled veggies. Try this one out & am sure you will love it too.

Step-by-Step Easy & Quick Recipe –

Ingredients:

Pasta – 1 package (approx. 16 oz.) – any pasta of your choice

All purpose flour (Maida) – 2 tablespoon (heaped)

Milk – 2 cups

Fresh cream – ½ cup

Butter – 2-3 tablespoon

Salt per taste

Ground black pepper

Fresh green coriander

Red chili flakes – ¼ teaspoon (optional)

Peas – ½ cup (pre boiled)

Onion – 1 medium (finely chopped)

Garlic – 3 cloves (minced)

Dried basil – ½ teaspoon

Dried parsley – ½ teaspoon

Dried oregano – ¼ teaspoon

Parmesan cheese – dress it lastly with parmesan shavings (optional)

For grill veggies –

Mushrooms – ½ cup (sliced)

Bell pepper (mixed green, yellow, red) –

Zucchini – ½ (diced or julienned)

Carrot – ½ cup (diced)

Broccoli – ¼ cup (cut into small florets)

Instructions:

  • Boil pasta in water in a saucepan with salt & few drops of oil till al Dente, drain and keep aside.
  • Grill the veggies one by one in the grill pan starting with zucchini, then carrots & bell pepper, keep aside. Now grill mushrooms till they are soft & properly cooked, make sure that the juice released from mushrooms is all dried up and they start browning a bit. Now grill broccoli. While grilling sprinkle each one of them with salt.
  • Now in large pan heat butter first, once hot add onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes, add garlic and sauté another 1-2 minutes.
  • Now add the all purpose flour and keep frying for another 5-6 minutes and add milk & fresh cream. Slowly and gently. Simmer and the sauce will start to thicken. Once it reaches the right consistency that you like, add boiled pasta, dried basil, parsley, oregano and grilled veggies with chopped green coriander. Mix well so the pasta gets well coated with the sauce.

Note: The white sauce pasta with grilled veggies is all ready. Serve with your choice of toasted or bread.

There is another way of making quick white sauce, which I do when I am in a rush. Mix dry roasted all-purpose flour & milk together. Heat pan and add butter, when it melts add the milk mix and let it boil to your choice of consistency and add salt, pepper. Your instant white sauce is all ready.
