Herbed Creamy Mashed Potato

Mashed potatoes are very popular in Western countries; they are made with potatoes, cream, butter all mashed together.

They are perfect for any meals whether breakfast, lunch or dinner. Can be served along side eggs, veggies, meat or breads or just as is. They are really yummy!

Step-by-Step Easy & Quick Recipe –

Ingredients:

Potato – 1 kg or 2 pounds

Chives – 1 tablespoon

Fresh green coriander – 1 tablespoon

Milk – ¼ cup

Cream – 1 ½ cup

Butter – 2 tablespoon

Salt per taste

Ground black pepper

Water for boiling

Instructions:

  • In a large saucepan put the potatoes and cover them with just an inch above them with water, add salt 1 teaspoon and let them cook. After one boil, set the heat on low and cook them till they are tender, about 15 minutes.
  • Once they are tender, discard the water, which is still in the pan now, and dry roast in pan for 1-2 minutes to make them dry. Peel them.
  • In another pan bring butter and cream with salt to a boil and simmer on low heat till it bubbles. Now pour his butter-cream mix on the boiled & peeled potatoes and mash them together.
  • Add fresh green coriander and chives. Season with ground black pepper.

Note: If the mashed potatoes are looking very dry, you can add little milk. Creamy mashed herbed potatoes are ready and delicious, enjoy!
