Classic Vanilla Panna Cotta

Panna Cotta is a very simple n stylish Italian dessert, which means, “cooked cream”. Utterly delicious with vanilla flavor, totally melts in the mouth & a real treat for our taste buds.

It is very simple & easy to cook, made with milk, cream, vanilla flavoring & sugar, can be dressed with any choice of toppings of fruits, compote, sauces etc.

Step-by-Step Easy & Quick Recipe –

Ingredients:

Milk – 1 ½ cup

Whipping cream – 2 cups

Castor sugar – 80 grams

Vanilla extract – 1½ teaspoon

Gelatin – 1 tablespoon or 3 sheets of 5grams each

Instructions:

  • In saucepan boil milk, cream, vanillas extract and sugar together. Bring to boil and then take off heat.
  • Now add the gelatin and stir till it dissolves completely, now strain this liquid.
  • Pour this liquid into the ramekins or the bowls of your choice and refrigerate overnight or at least for 4-5 hours covered with plastic wrap.
  • Before serving run a knife around the edges of the ramekin bowls, put a plate on top of the bowl and then turn upside down so that the panna cotta is placed on your serving plate.

Note: A perfect delicious dessert is ready, can be served with your choice of fruits. For this generally preferred fruits are berries or peaches or served with compote or simply with honey. I have even used the canned strawberry or blueberry filling sometimes. Yummy!
