Banana Ice cream with Choco chips

Hey all great moms, are you looking for an ice cream to beat the heat or when your kids demand on a hot and lazy afternoon and your freezer is empty? You can try out this really easy & delicious ice cream, which is very easily doable at home & is totally delicious & healthy.

This recipe comes from our guest chef Divya Srikanth, the super mom who keeps trying to make something healthy and delicious for family & kids, she saw this recipe on the net, tried it and when her family loved it, she wanted to share it with Appy Bistro readers too. It’s made with ripe bananas only. Try out!

Step-by-Step Easy & Quick Recipe –

Ripe banana – 4 (peeled & chopped)

Sugar – per taste (optional)

Choco chips – 1 tablespoon

Almond flakes – 1 tablespoon (toasted)

Walnuts – 1 tablespoon (roughly chopped and toasted)

Vanilla essence – ¼ teaspoon (optional)


  • Peel & chop ripe bananas and freeze them overnight.
  • Now take out of freezer in the morning and blend them well in a mixer without any water or milk. Add sugar and vanilla extract if required and blend again well to have a smooth even texture. Now freeze it again for about an hour.
  • Take out and transfer to serving bowls or glasses and top them with Choco chips or toasted almond flakes or toasted walnuts or all together per choice.


Note: The ice cream can be blended and kept in freezer and can be served any time later you want. The Ice cream is ready for the kids, family & friends at home to enjoy. Try out!
