Jhatpat Malai Paneer


Paneer (cottage cheese) is every ones and especially all vegetarians favorite in India. It’s majorly used & is always a part of festivals or parties or weddings menus.

There are so many ways to use and cook paneer but this one is super quick so its called jhatpat paneer & super easy to cook and is incredible delicious too. Whenever you get sudden visitors or guests or you are not at in a mood of spending too much time in kitchen, well then this one is just for you. Try out.

Fresh Cottage cheese (paneer) – 2 cups (very small cubes or rectangle or mashed)

Onion – 1 large (fine chopped)

Green chili – 1 (finely chopped)

Fresh green coriander – ¼ cup (finely chopped)

Salt per taste

Ground black pepper per taste

Red chili flakes per taste

Turmeric powder – ¼ teaspoon

Oil – 2 tablespoon

Cooking cream – 2-3 tablespoons


  • Heat oil in a pan and add onion & green chili. When onions start to become golden brown add paneer cubes along with salt, turmeric powder, ground pepper & fresh green coriander. Mix well and fry to 1-2 minutes.
  • Add fresh cream and mix well, take off heat and add red chili flakes. Transfer to serving dish and serve hot.

Note: this super quick paneer dish, almost like an instant food is ready and can be served with chapatti, roti, parantha or any bread of choice. Enjoy!
