Guacamole is an avocado based dip from Mexico, it is very popular there and is now days equally popular in other parts of the world too.
This dip is made with ripe avocado mashed pulp mixed with lemon juice, salt, onion, tomato & green chilies. Its yummy, try out and enjoy with famous tortilla chips.

Avocado – 4-5 Large (halved, seed discarded, shell scooped out)
Lemon – 2 large (juice)
Onion – 1 medium (finely chopped)
Tomato – 1 large (finely chopped)
Green chili – (finely chopped)
Salt per taste
Pomegranate seeds – 2 tablespoons (optional)
Extra virgin olive oil – 1 tablespoon
- In a mixing bowl add avocado and the half lemon juice to avoid the browning of the avocado. Now mash the avocado to a fine or coarse paste per choice. Use a mixer to make creamy & smooth paste if you like.
- Now add the chopped tomatoes, chopped cilantro, chopped green chilies & chopped onions. Mix well.
- Now add the balance lemon juice, olive oil & salt and gently mix all together. Dress with pomegranate seeds for a richer look (optional).
Note: The guacamole can be best served with tortilla chips as a great dip or with any other Mexican dish. Enjoy!
