Tea is found in all countries, mostly people liking it black. There are many other flavors of tea but this apple tea is a traditional tea from Turkey.
Earlier this tea was made at home but now days the instant and packaged ones are available too, I tried both and feel the home made one always scores better in taste & flavor, try out and enjoy!

Apples – 2 large (red apples) unpeeled and chopped, cored.
Cinnamon sticks – 2
Cloves – 4
Water – 6 cups
Honey or sugar to taste
Apple slices – 8-10 (thinly sliced)
- Heat water in a saucepan and add apples, cloves & cinnamon. Bring it to boil and simmer for 10-15 minutes till apples are soft.
- Strain the tea and mash & squeeze the apples in the strainer a bit so that all the liquid from them. Discard the apple pulp in the left in the strainer.
- Add sugar or honey per choice.
- Pour into a serving jug over ice cubes and add apple slices. Serve chilled.
