Paneer Tikka, well its any one and every ones favorite dishes. There are many ways to make it like Tandoori or on tawa or baked. This is a perfect appetizer or side dish or just a snack for any occasion or a normal dinner. It is incredible delicious and easy to do.
The original recipe is done in tandoor but we are grilling today. For making grill paneer tikka the paneer and capsicum, onion & tomato have to be marinated and then grilled. Yummy!

Paneer (cottage cheese) – 500 grams (cut into big chunks of ½ inch thickness & 2 inch squares)
Shaslik – 40 grams (capsicum, onion & tomato (cut into 1-inch cubes)
Oil – 2 tablespoons
Yoghurt – ½ cup (hung curd or thick yoghurt)
Ginger paste – 1 teaspoon
Garlic paste – 1 teaspoon
Salt per taste
Tandoori masala – 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder – 1 pinch
Red chili powder – ½ teaspoon
Besan (gram flour) – 1 tablespoon
Garam masala – ½ teaspoon
Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon
Cream – 2-3 tablespoon
- In a large mixing bowl mix all ingredients listed in the marinade section. Add paneer squares along with shaslik pieces and marinate for 15-20 minutes.
- Grease a flat grill pan and first grill paneer pieces, when they become golden brown on both sides, take out on a plate with paper towel to absorb excess oil. Now grill the shaslik as well. Take out on paper towel. Now arrange on wooden skewers in a pattern or simply arrange the grilled pieces in a serving platter and serve.
- Preheat the oven at 200°C (400°F) and place the paneer-shaslik skewers or pieces on a wire rack and grill for about 15 minutes till paneer becomes golden, take out and serve hot.
Note: Delicious grilled paneer tikka can be served with mint chutney, onion rings as an appetizer or a side dish or a snack. Enjoy!
