Kompot can be called a traditional and most favorite Eastern European non-alcoholic summer drink. Super easy to make and highly refreshing to drink. It can have many variations but mainly made with dried fruits, fresh fruits. It can be any variety of fruits like strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, plums, apricots, pears, apples or cherries, just either use in combos of your choice or make it with just one single fruit. You will love it anyway.
Toady we are doing a Kompot with currants & peaches, Oh! Yes, yum yum and yum, you all will simply love it. Its mostly served chilled. Absolutely easy to make, just boil water with sugar and add fruits and simmer for a while. Just chill it after that and serve & enjoy with family and friends. Try this!

Currants – 500 grams
Peaches – 500 grams
Sugar – 1 cup
Water – 2 liters
- In a large saucepan add water and bring it to a boil, add sugar and fruits. Lower the heat and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
- Take out and serve with little fruits at the bottom of the glass.
Note: Mostly served chilled to beat the summer heat, in winters Kompot can be served hot too. Enjoy!
