Easy New Year Hangover Cure – Detox Waters

Partied too hard last night? Still feeling queasy and dehydrated? Clearly, hangovers are rough. Although, there really isn’t a miracle cure for hangovers other than consuming plenty of water and other non-spiked liquids.

You may want to reboot your system with our magic potions – Detox waters are a refreshing way of rehydration and help in eliminating your body of toxins. Drinking fruit infused waters not only help with getting over hangovers, but also help in weight loss and strengthen your metabolism.

Detox waters can be incorporated in your everyday regime and you can experiment with different fruits and flavours according to your liking! Here are a few quick and easy hangover cure recipes –

1. Strawberry & Pomegranate Detox Water

Step-by-Step Easy & Quick Recipe –

Ingredients:

Strawberries – 1 Cup (Sliced)

Pomegranate Seeds – 1/2 Cup

Mint Leaves – 8-10 Fresh Leaves (Washed and Torn)

Lemon – 2 (Thinly Sliced)

Regular Water or Coconut Water – 750 ml

Method: 

  • Slice strawberries and keep aside.
  • In a mason jar or pitcher, add the fruits and pour in the water.
  • Allow the infused water to sit for a few minutes before drinking.
  • Consume within 3 days.

2. Orange-Apple-Pomegranate Infused Detox Water

Apples – 1 (Sliced)

Oranges – 1 (Sliced)

Pomegranate Seeds – 1/2 Cup

Mint Leaves – 10-12 Fresh Leaves (Washed and Torn)

Lemon – 2 (Thinly Sliced)

Regular Water or Coconut Water – 750 ml

Method:

  • Slice the apples and oranges and keep aside.
  • In a mason jar or pitcher, add the fruits and pour in the water.
  • Allow the infused water to sit for a few minutes before drinking.
  • Consume within 3 days.

3. Kiwi-Ginger-Mint Water

Ingredients:

Kiwi – 1 (Sliced)

Ginger – 1 Tbsp Grated

Mint Leaves – 8-10 Fresh Leaves (Washed and Torn)

Lemon – 1 (Thinly Sliced)

Honey – 1 Tbsp

Regular Water or Coconut Water – 750 ml

Method:

  • Slice the kiwi and keep aside.
  • In a mason jar or pitcher, add the fruits, mint, honey and pour in the water.
  • Put in the grated ginger and allow the infused water to sit for a few minutes before consuming.
  • Consume within 3 days.

Note:

  1. The shelf life of detox waters is 3 days. However, they taste best once they are allowed to sit overnight as the maximum flavour is infused in the water.
  2. Store the waters in a glass container i.e, a pitcher, jug or mason jars.
  3. The waters contain no sugar, however, if you wish to add a bit of sweetness, you can use coconut water instead of regular water.
